Exhilarating Wingsuit Jump

You might remember one other video of awesome wingsuit BASE jumping (see here) done in Norwegian fjords. But here, Melissa Andrezjewski and Chris McNamara are jumping from a cliff on Baffin Island, and it looks cold... and forbidding, indeed.

Anatomy + Design = a Good Thing

You can order some um... disturbing socks; or if you're in a hospital with a lot of time on your hands, you can draw on your bandages (if you're not in much pain, of course):

You can swim with a lion - see here - but giving it a soap bath is another story. Watch a video of a man bathing a full-grown lion with a baby shampoo (a comfortable water temperature is the key here.... no kidding) -

Grass is always greener - on the roof

National Geographic Magazine has an interesting photo-set about various industrial and architectural green roofs - click here, featuring some inspiring greenery on top of Chicago's City Hall, Tokyo's Imperial Hotel (also featuring solar electric panels) and even on top of a bus shelter in downtown San Francisco:

"Houston, We Have a Problem"

We highly recommend a visit to a Russian web-journal Tebe-Interesno ("Are You Interested?") if only to enjoy the highly eclectic and deeply fantastic mix of imagery and Miyazaki-influenced art. Here is an entertaining example:

Illegal Businessmen Wading Ashore...

...on the coast of Spain - via

Photo copyright Roger Bamber

Actually, this image depicts an unusual form of performance art:
"Performer and choreographer Charlie Morrissey, in bowler hat, rehearsed with his dance troupe at low tide between the piers at Brighton. The dancers performed “Knee High, Skin Deep” to an audience sitting on the beach, but this photograph was taken 100 yards out to sea to get some depth of water."

Eclectic and Rare Pulp Art

A treasure-trove of rare and fantastic pulp art can be enjoyed at Ebenezer galleries (some slightly nsfw). In fact, we can get lost there for hours...
