The Island: Profound Animation

"The Island" (Ostrov) - this Soviet-era animation from 1973 has a lot to say about our consumerist society.... Made by the talented director Fyodor Khitruk, it won the Golden Palm in Cannes (good stuff starts around 1:30 mark)
