Slow Motion Lightning Video

Yes, I know that this video was all over the internet last couple of days. And yet I can't resist linking to it. This is really unexpected view of the inner (and deeply awesome) workings of nature - a lightning bolt captured from its conception, shot at least at 5,000 frames per second:

Kepa Rasmussen creates very strange masks, mannequins and other "wearable sculptures". Check out his site for some very unusual art pieces.

Most Dangerous Hiking Trail

Mount Huashan in China, "The Number One Precipitous Mountain under Heaven" - covered by DRB on this page "Most Dangerous Roads in the World" and also in "China in the Mist"

We'd like to find more pictures of this trail: let us know if you braved this crazy path (and obviously lived to tell about it).

Shorpy has recently unearthed a wonderful image of vintage trucks (from 1924 "Piggly Wiggly" company). Here is the fragment - see bigger version (lots of detail!) - here.
