Paper Sculptures and One-Sheet-Wonders
Danish artist Peter Callesen is making sculptures out of paper... On his site (www.petercallesen.com) you can marvel at the intricate one-sheet cut-outs, as well as full-scale paper "mirages".
Callesen´s work has always contained references to the romantic notion of the unattainable and the sublime. (click on any image to enlarge)
Walking on Snow
Floor installation consisting of 400 unique white hand-cut snowflakes, cut from white A4 and A3 copy paper in 80 gram thickness...
Paper Ladders and Stairs
Installations on 2nd and 3rd floor in the tower of Nikolaj Church, white paper, tape and glue, made for the show in Copenhagen 2003...

Full-scale Paper House "Mirage"
"The Mirage" house is made of light-weight paper, which would collapse immediately if you would actually attempt to use it, disappearing like a fata morgana on a approach...
